Lost and Found

Life has been sweet lately, here are some pretty sweet cupcakes I made.

Vanilla cupcakes with a strawberry jam filled core, vanilla buttercream and a lil' Jammie Dodger on top!

Even sweeter, is our new pup, Gypsy Big Ears!

Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward

So I've had a pretty jam-packed summer. It hasn't left much time for illustration type projects but I have been enjoying some other creative and fun past-times!

Walking in the woods

Picking wild blackberries

Playing with my two beautiful nieces

Getting chickens and eating fresh eggs! (they are called Mo, Pat, Peggy and Dot!)

Doing lots of face painting

Puppy-sitting

Baking hundreds of cupcakes....too many cupcakes!

Making carnival costumes and then coming first place in Appledore Carnival! 

(yes, thats me dressed as a giant party popper!)

It has been an interesting and whirlwind summer.

 I am looking forward to autumn walks and wearing scarves now!

DUH

So I feel like my brain has melted away with too much TV/Facebook. Today I had enough and went on a book hunt and OH I find a massive comic book store in my town. THREE YEARS its taken me to notice this. Anyway, lots of comics have been ordered/money spent, but I am happy. Also bought some books I have been meaning to read for AGES. 

You might not really care but these books are:

Any Human Heart by William Boyd (did anyone see the Channel 4 series? AMAZING)

Getaway

Putting up some sketch book work tomorrow and hoping to get a whole chunk full of work done and maybe even start final images!

For now heres a little post I have contributed to over at The Art of Staying Up All Night. Have a read of all the lovely memories, it made me feel very nostalgic.

Procrastination

Whatever keeps me from doing some actual work!

This is where I'm living at the moment.

The only thing missing from the picture is the many bottles of diet coke, but thats okay because they have kindly followed me to my bed where I know sit. I have toothache but mmm diet coke.
